I have had a brainwave regarding my failed drawer. As the drawer fronts are symmetrical, I can simple turn it upside down and drill the holes in the correct place. It is highly unlikely that when inverted the places where the new holes are required will be close to where the old ones were, so everything will be fine. Ah, how soon my hopes are dashed on that score. The only thing for it is to make new sides with the cams in different places, which I'll be honest, I'm too dispirited to start. Instead, I get the remaining two doors on the underbed storage, but that doesn't take too long leaving me looking around for something else I can start. I decide to varnish my oars as a bit of light relief, but the varnish appears to have gone walkies. I retire a disgruntled man. Pah!
