With the toilet re-connected, I now set about a job I had been putting off, namely skinning the two bedroom wardrobes. The complexity and asymmetric nature of these had been daunting me, if I'm honest. Still, there are no more serious cruises planned which leaves me with no excuses. I rescue my 12mm sheets from under the tarpaulin and bring them aboard. There's some discolouration where a bit of damp has got in, but nothing serious. First off I cut the stringers that will skin the outer edges. This requires a bit of accuracy as they're 2m long but only 30mm wide. And the port side reduces to 21mm past the washing machine making it even more fun. Next up is the extremely oddly shaped piece that will skin the starboard side of the starboard wardrobe. Getting this to fit takes me the rest of the evening. Apart from the bit I spend hanging my newly refurbished oars from the ceiling.
